AZ Medellín — Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website and the services offered through it are operated by AZ International Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as AZ Medellín ("AZ Medellín", "we", "us"). We are the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.

For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@azmedellin.com.

The information we collect

Information you give us. When you enquire, book, or communicate with us, we collect the details needed to provide our services: your name, contact details (email, phone number, WhatsApp), booking details (dates, party size, accommodation location, itinerary preferences), payment information, and anything you choose to share with us about your plans or requirements.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information about your device and visit, including IP address, browser type, time zone, pages viewed, and how you arrived at and interact with the site. We use only essential cookies necessary for the website to function. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • respond to enquiries and provide quotes;

  • deliver the services you book, including sharing relevant details with the team members assigned to your booking;

  • take payment and manage deposits, balances, and transfers of bookings;

  • communicate with you before, during, and after your booking;

  • keep records we need for legal, accounting, and tax purposes;

  • protect the safety of our clients and our team; and

  • send you marketing communications, only where you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

We process your data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with our legal obligations, or in pursuit of our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business. Where we rely on your consent (such as marketing), you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share your information with

Discretion is central to our service. We do not sell your personal data, and we share it only as needed to deliver your booking:

  • Our team in Medellín. The chaperones, drivers, and concierge staff assigned to your booking receive the details necessary to provide the service. This means your information is transferred to and handled in Colombia. Our team is bound by confidentiality obligations.

  • Service providers. Where your booking includes reservations or arrangements with third parties (such as restaurants or venues), we share only the details needed to make the arrangement, such as a name and party size.

  • Payment and technology providers. We use third-party payment processors and website hosting providers to run our business, and they handle your data only for those purposes.

  • Legal requirements. We will disclose information where required by law, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights, or protect the safety of any person.

International transfers

We are a UK company delivering services in Colombia, so personal data connected to bookings is transferred to our team in Colombia, and some of our technology providers may store data in other countries, including the United States. Where we transfer your data outside the UK, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with UK data protection law.

How long we keep your information

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we are legally required to for accounting and tax purposes, which for a UK company is generally six years. Enquiry information that does not lead to a booking is kept for 12 months and then deleted. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as fully secure, but we treat the confidentiality of client information as a core obligation of the business, not only a legal one.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (and, where it applies to you, EU law), you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;

  • have inaccurate data corrected;

  • have your data erased in certain circumstances;

  • restrict or object to certain processing;

  • receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@azmedellin.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
