When our founder, a UK citizen, first arrived in Medellín in 2023, he struggled to find trustworthy, bilingual help for everyday needs. This gap inspired him to start AZ Medellín.

Today, AZ provides reliable, bilingual local guides and security professionals for travellers and foreign residents, ensuring they feel supported, confident, and at home in Medellín. What sets us apart is our flexibility and on-demand service — we’re here whenever you need us, and with whatever you need, from everyday assistance to city exploration or nightlife accompaniment.

How far in advance should I book?

You can book anytime — even same day. We’re designed for on-demand assistance, and our team usually responds within minutes. For full-day experiences or custom tours, we recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to secure your preferred guide.

Can I choose my guide?

Yes! You can view our team of guides and select who you’d like to accompany you when booking. If your chosen guide isn’t available, we’ll offer another trusted guide with a similar profile

Are your guides bilingual?

Yes — all our guides are fluent in English and Spanish, and experienced at helping travellers navigate Medellín comfortably and confidently.

Do you offer female guides?

Absolutely. You can choose between male or female guides depending on your comfort level and the type of experience you prefer.

Are your guides trained in security or safety procedures?

Our Security Guides receive specialized training in safety awareness, risk assessment, and protective procedures. While Personal Guides aren’t security-trained, they’re experienced locals who know how to navigate the city safely and keep you comfortable and supported throughout your experience.

Can you customize a service or experience?

Absolutely. We can tailor any service to your needs — whether you want a mix of city exploration and local experiences, or something more exclusive like private events, VIP nightlife, or luxury gatherings. Just tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll make it happen.

Do you offer airport pick-up or drop-off?

Yes — while it’s not a standalone service, airport pick-up and drop-off can be added to a number of our other services for your convenience. It’s a great way to start or end your experience in Medellín smoothly and stress-free.

Are the prices listed per person or total?

The prices shown are total, not per person. Each service covers up to four people. For groups of five or more, an additional guide or security escort will be required.
